Sam is a native Nevadan, recognized as northern Nevada’s premier residential developer. Since the early 1960s, Sam has developed Reno’s most upscale communities, including Lakeridge, Caughlin Ranch, Saddlehorn and now Montrêux. Montrêux is certainly the crowning achievement in his long list of successes.
A second generation Nevadan, Stan has been intimately involved with Montrêux since the first day he and his father set foot on the property; including creating the name (Montrêux) to developing the European/Alpine theme and design elements.
With his experience managing Lakeridge Golf Club, he has brought his knowledge in golf course planning, design, maintenance and management to the operations of Montrêux’s golf course and club house. Stan worked closely with Jack Nicklaus during the design and construction of the golf course, which today is one of the most beautiful and acclaimed clubs in the west. Stan was also very instrumental in bringing the PGA tour to Montrêux and Reno.
Lisa Anderson joined Montrêux Golf & Country Club in 2001 as the Membership Director and became the General Manager in 2002. She is a graduate of the University of Nevada with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing. Prior to her work at Montrêux, Lisa was an Assistant Athletic Director of Development for the University of Nevada. She and her husband Scott have two children. They enjoy the outdoors and the many activities that northern Nevada has to offer.
Ken graduated from Idaho State University with a degree in Accounting and a mninor in Computer Science. Ken holds a CPA license in the State of Idaho and is a member of AICPA, Idaho and Nevada Society of Accountants. Ken started with a Big 8 accounting firm in Boise, Idaho and worked many years with high-tech manufacturing companies in Silicon Valley and Colorado, including an oversea's assignment in Singapore and Hong Kong. Ken has been a resident of Nevada since 1990 and has worked for Montrêux Golf Club and LakeRidge Golf Course since April 1995. He is very proud of how Montrêux has developed into a world class facility. Ken and his wife, Rosie, enjoy golf, kayaking, scuba diving, riding motorcycles, as well as traveling to Mexico and hiking in their spare time.
Lori came to Montrêux in March 2001. Her responsibilities including managing the member accounts, maintaining the computer and email network system and managing human resources and personnel. Lori's work experience includes 12 years at the University of Nevada, Reno, first as the Office Manager for the Department of Continuing Education and then as the Administrative Assistant at the Athletic Association, where she was introduced to Lisa Anderson. Prior to that she worked in the mining and banking industries. Lori is a native of Nevada, having been born and raised in Yerington. She has a wonderful family with two children. Lori is enjoying her time at Montrêux and in her spare time spends time with the kids, gardening, walking, and watching the kids ride motorcycles.
Doug joined the Montrêux team in January of 1999. After nine years in the Palm Springs area as Superintendent of two different courses, he jumped at the chance of experiencing much cooler summer temperatures and the opportunity that Montrêux provided. Doug started his career at his hometown course in Carroll, Iowa at age 13. He received his education at Iowa State University with a degree in Horticulture. He also has experience at courses such as Medina Country Club in Chicago, Illinois; Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama and Denver Country Club in Denver, Colorado, which adds up to over twenty-two years of experience in golf course maintenance. At the end of each day, Doug is greeted by his wife and their two children. Being an outdoor enthusiast, Doug fell in love with the Reno/Tahoe area instantly and enjoys skiing and snowmobiling in the winter and working, with a little fishing and boating on the side, in the summer.
Dave joined the Montrêux team in March of 2000, the day before the Clubhouse opened. He is responsible for facility maintenance, housekeeping, cart maintenance, project management and the safety coordinator. Dave has thirty years of experience in property management and safety administration. A Reno resident since 1978, Dave loves the diversity of the activities and the weather in Northern Nevada. His wife Lorna works for the school district at Galena High School and keeps busy with their family and church. Dave likes to travel, fish, and play golf.
Heather joined the Montrêux team in the spring of 2001 in the Clubhouse. She was then promoted to our Events Coordinator by the summer or 2002 and promoted to the Membership Coordinator in the summer of 2006. She moved to Reno from Vancouver, British Columbia, met many wonderful new friends and considers Reno her home now. She enjoys mountain biking, hiking, snowmobiling and anything that the spectacular setting of Lake Tahoe, Reno and the surrounding area has to offer. Brett joined Montrêux in 2010 after working for the University of Nevada Athletic Department. He is a Certified Personal Trainer and a graduate of the University of Nevada with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Studies-Health. Brett played football for the Wolf Pack and brings a varied sports background to Montrêux.
